As we roll back to this day, 30 June, in the UK, a new drink driving limit is to be introduced!
The Road Safety Act 1967 was introduced, which brought in the first maximum legal drink-driving limit in the UK.
This pivotal legislation set the limit at 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood and introduced the roadside breathalyser test.
This marked a significant step in efforts to reduce drink-driving related accidents and improve road safety.
